Evans Family Educational Foundation
Barry Evans, M. Photog. Cr., CPP was one of the founding members of the Professional Photographers of the Greater Bay Area (PPGBA) and a past president of the Professional Photographers of California. He left us with a fine example of a life full of kindness and positive energy and will be remembered for giving so much to our industry.
Barry recognized the importance of education and the pursuit of photographic excellence. He had a unique hunger for knowledge and understood the need to stay current with new styles and trends in photography. The Evans Family Educational Foundation was established in his honor to benefit those who believe, as Barry did, that education is the key to success in professional photography. Any photographer may apply for the scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded based upon financial need and the applicant's record of service to the photographic profession as demonstrated by his or her active participation in local and state associations. This scholarship can be used for any PPA accredited school.
Deadline to apply for Scholarships was December 31, 2007. Notification of recipients will start on January 15, 2008.
