Art Madsen Scholarship
Art MadsenArt Madsen was a founding member of PPGBA, the driving force behind Golden Gate School and it's first director. He owned and operated a studio in San Rafael for many years. He was also a lab rep in the Greater Bay Area including, most recently, Bay Photo Lab.
Art loved photography, he was involved in all kinds of photography. He also taught photography to many groups including the 4H club. His wife Betty Ruth remembers going to many various PPGBA picnics including a few at their home. She also remembers accompanying Art to Yosemite where he taught classes with Hanson Fong.
Art and his wife Betty Ruth were married for 36 years and have 2 children, a boy and a girl. Art is missed.
Deadline to apply for Scholarships was December 31, 2007. Notification of recipients will start on January 15, 2008.
