Learn some great Photoshop® tools and techniques (of course), like Masking and Blend Modes, but what else? Yes, they will be showing you how to take your workflow, files, and lighting up a notch with Calibrating your meter for Perfect Exposures, using Custom White Balance, and using On and Off-camera Flash. You will see how to use TTL and how to balance On-camera fill-flash AND the fine art of Off-camera portable flash with a soft box. Suzette and Jon have 25 years experience as professional photographers and can help you master the tools and technology we have today to take your images to a whole new level of quality!
The Digital Creativity begins with plug-ins like NIK Color Efex Pro™ 3.0, Topaz and LucisArt, even some HDR! ACR Raw processing and LightRoom® basics for workflow will top off the shore excursions where you will capture your own images for textures, overlays and brushes, as well as practice with your new auxiliary flash skills!
This action-packed class will give you the maximum creativity for anyone to wants to raise the bar and take their Digital Imaging it up a notch!

Photoshop® Setup for efficiency, load up a full set of actions and brushes and tools (yes, they are free!) Create Templates or marketing pieces, using textures, blends, masking, and ornaments. Create custom brushes from text, images and designs.
Afternoon: Calibrate meters for perfect accuracy; explore TTL flash with a model for on-camera fill-flash that doesn’t look over-flashed.
You can go on your own to photograph for your own creations, whether they are backgrounds, overlays, textures or brushes. This is a great opportunity to try out your own skills with TTL too! Suzette & Jon will be available for guidance and trouble-shooting as well.
Workflow magic on your Cabo files, using ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) and Lightroom® basics. Then we do the magic: Creativity is limitless with NIK Viveza®, Color Efex Pro™ 3.0, Silver Efex Pro™, Topaz, and maybe even LucisArt. 14 day Trial versions of all products will be provided so you can “try before you buy”! We can demo HDR too!
Afternoon/eve: Photograph model on deck using Off-Camera portable flash with a Soft Box for exquisite portrait lighting anywhere, anytime. How to meter it, how to shoot it, how to balance the available light and make your soft box either fill, main or aux light!
Fun assignments to photograph Ensenada with new eyes—shooting for creativity, with the goal of doing artsy images using HDR, CEP or Topaz. Great chance to practice with off-camera flash and soft box too. We may have a couple flash setups to loan out if you would like to try them out.
Evening: come together to share the best images of your week, and do a Q&A session wrap-up.
