Making the transition to digital can be overwhelming; fortunately, there is help. This class will cover one of the aspects of going digital, Photoshop. With its seemingly endless options and variables, Jon will guide you through and help you understand the tools that you need to know as a professional photographer. Once the foundational skills are laid, then it’s time to build upon them and get creative with your images and take your work to the next level.
You should have basic computer skills and have Photoshop CS2 loaded on your computer.
This class will cover Adobe Photoshop CS2 only. If you do now own a copy, a free 30 day trial version is available at www.Adobe.com.

You will receive a binder with most of the instructions printed out, but you may want to take additional notes. You will also get a CD of images to work on, but in later projects, such as the composites, you can work with your own images.
Bring your own computer, mouse, (tablet if you have one, and be sure to load the driver) No trackball or touch pads! A power strip and short extension cord is also handy.
Jon Yoshinaga has been in the photographic industry for over 30 years, working as a commercial, portrait, wedding photographer, as well as in professional labs as a traditional and a digital specialist. After marrying Suzette Allen in 2004, the two have been on the road teaching Photoshop to photographers around the world as well as operating a small studio in Sacramento, California.
